People want to test their luck by their cash through betting on their favourite racing horses.

7.Play Mahjong

During the family reunion dinners or visits in friends' homes, people try to kill the time or enhancing the friendship by playing Mahjong.

If you want to be healthier in the new year, you can play Mahjong as 'Mahjong can cure hundred different illnesses'.

How can travelers go to the Victoria Peak if they don't take the Peak Tram?

Other ways to go up the Victoria Peak

There are FOUR other ways to go up the Peak (not including Peak tram and taxi)!

Bus route No 15

No 15 departs at Central.  It goes to the Peak via Wan Chai.  So it takes time to go to the destination.

If you sit at the front row of the upper deck of the bus, you can see how the skillful driver surmounts the steep and narrow roads of the Victoria Peak.

Green mini bus No 1

No 1 green mini bus also departs at Central.  As the mini-bus is faster than the big bus and it uses the short-cut, Magazine Gap Road, it is more efficient than the bus.

However, as it can only accommodate 16 passengers, the mini buses are often full.

'Bus route No 11', ON FOOT

In the past, people in Hong Kong called 'walking' as 'taking bus route No 11'!

There is a footpath next to the Garden Road Cable Car Terminal.  People can take 'bus route No 11' to go to the Peak from there.

During the walk, you can see the skyscrapers and flora and fauna.  It takes only about two hours to walk to the Peak Tower!

If you don't have enough preparation and energy, please don't choose this option.
