5 things to do in Tsuen Wan District

Tsuen Wan District, Five things to do!

Just step out of Hong Kong city center, you can find 5 interesting things to do in the Tsuen Wan District.

(1)Visit the Sam Tung Uk Museum

The museum was the village house of the indigenous people.

Apart from showing you their life, there is a gallery shows you Hong Kong's colourful intangible cultural heritage.

(2)Enjoy amazing sea view at Tsuen Wan Park

At Tsuen Wan Park, you can see the amazing view of the Rambler Channel, Tsing Yi Island and Ting Kau Bridge.

(3)Shop at the tallest in the New Territories, Nina Tower (318 meters)

Nina, the late owner of the building, actually wanted to build the tallest building in Hong Kong.

Government stopped her as the location is close to the airport.

It is now a hotel, mall and office.

(4)Relax at beaches near Ting Kau

Along Tsuen Wan's coast, you can find six government beaches with free facilities.

Water quality may not be high.

You can still relax yourselves, enjoy sunshine and see good view on the beaches.

(5)Enjoy roasted goose and more at Sham Tseng

Apart from the delicious and fresh local style roasted goose, there are cafes offer you tasty desserts.

You can take public transports to go to the above-mentioned things to do.

Of course, a private tour by private car can offer you the easy tour experience in Tsuen Wan and other towns in the New Territories.

Four highlights you can see during the Aberdeen sampan ride

Four Aberdeen sampan ride highlights

You can see four highlights during the Aberdeen sampan ride.

(1)Jumbo Floating Restaurant

If you upload the photo of this floating palace to your Facebook or Instagram, you can get lots likes.

(2)Deep Bay Marina Club

Opposite to the Jumbo, that is the Deep Bay Marina Club, where you can find lots of rich people's toys, e.g. Jacky Chen's yacht.

According to the old fishermen, the area was only a graveyard in the past.

"Going to Deep Bay" was a curse!

(3)The floating fishermen community

Although the floating population is ever-reducing, you can still see their fishing boats, house boats, dragon boats, shipyards etc.

Some of the fishermen even stop their work and pose for your photographs.

(4)Ap Lei Chau, a world record island

The opposite side of Aberdeen is Ap Lei Chau Island.

Its size is only 1.3 km² As the government resettles lots of fishermen to this tiny island, it becomes the most densely populated island in the world (2011 figure: 66,755 people / km²!!!).

There are private tour options, which include the interesting sampan ride at Aberdeen. You may browse the attached links...
